The Fab Four!

Hello, Shelly here :) Have I ever told you that I have the most wonderful husband in the world? He is so romantic; for no reason at all he took me out for one of the best nights I've ever had! He told me we were going to go out to a restaurant in town for on a little date while his mom was in town to see Amelia. Shout out to Dorothy, we love her so much!
What a great opportunity to do something fun. So knowing that Amelia and Dorothy would have a grand ol' time together, Dorothy said "peace" and off we went. As we left the house, I thought to myself, "Brandt sure is taking the long way!" Then when we approached the freeway entrance, for a drive that should have been through town, I said to him, "so... a... what are you thinking, why are you going this way, we could've probably been there by now", in my usual 'I'm smarter than you' tone.

Brandt replied,"oh, yeah, I don't know what I was thinking. Well, since we're already on the freeway maybe we should just go to Portland for dinner?" We decided that would be fun after discussing that Dorothy wouldn't mind watching Amelia that long. Brandt said to me, "would you mind grabbing me a tissue out of the glove box?" I opened the glove box to find an envelope with my name on it. Inside the card read, "I'm right beside you... following our dream. We are going to have a great night tonight at Cirque Du Soleil. It has always been of dream of mine to take you to this." I almost cried! What a sweet, incredible surprise. And I was so mean that he had gotten on the freeway :( Oh, and just after I read the card we noticed a beautiful rainbow in the sky (I swear, I'm not making it up, you can even ask Dorothy. I called her to tell her thank you for keeping such a fun secret.)

Brandt told me that he had made reservations to one of my favorite restaurants, P.F. Chang's. We had a great meal - I recommend the lemon pepper shrimp. We then had time to spare before the show, so we walked around downtown P-town (that's what the locals call Portland). We visited a great book store and even saw some angels and stunt men on stilts (Portland is so cool) wandering the streets promoting the very performance we were about to see. Talk about good omens! After getting a little lost (even with the map quest directions,) a little maried-couple-bicker about where to park, and an exciting bicycle carriage ride, we arrived:
